Eye at the printer

In this digital age there is something that I still hold close to my heart - a printed magazine. Some people tell me "print is dead" or "read it online for free" but there is an unmatched experience in holding the physical object, the smell of the ink and the crispness of the color. Now I admit that not all magazines live up to these expectations especially when printed on a digital press. Now the good people over at Eye magazine have been running a tight ship for a long time now. I have collected their, some might say overpriced publication since I got my first job out of design school and I was pleased to stumble across this flickr story of how the mag is printed.



Take a look at the whole set, and if you can afford it, support people that print shit the old-school way.

Black Pearl Necklace

Famila trip to the Caymen Islands from 2008.




Thanks to Nesser for all the rigs and Applemum for the raddest boatride/stingray experience. The black pearl skatepark is pretty much the craziest man made skate thing I have ever skated.



If any of you skated as a young kid, you will remember going to a large skatepark for the first time and just getting your mind blown, well this was 15 years later, I had grown and so had the skatepark.

Familia WI trip #2

This trip was a little later in the year and slightly more planned. The Bovee football (soccer) mini van was the vehicle of choice and we stayed at one of the WI Dells water parks. We also animal chined the Chipewa Falls Barn ramp on the return trip to MN. Rumors have it that ramp is getting bowled out...

Plan ahead party

Word of advice, if you know the party is gonna be jumping you might want to sneak in your own booze. This was proven to be very effective on Saturday at the Familia celebration, where an understaffed bar had folks waiting an average of 20 mins for a drink. Notice myself and Munz were not complaining.
To celebrate the opening of the new shop we bring you two archived vids and a newly edited (finally) Black Pearl edit, all by yours truely, enjoy.

This was our first trip into WI last year to check out 2 new cement parks, there and back in 1 day.
